My focus is on skill development recognizing that drills don't cure ills but skills cure ills and that speed, technique, strategy and execution can be taught. I know youth football. I am not a psychic. I just watch a lot of game film. Recently, I have coached offensive line and the secondary for semi-pro football teams in the area including the Garland Aztecs, Arlington Bulldogs and Arlington Venom. Duties include recruiting, parental consulting, goal setting, practice planning, playbook construction, skill development, game planning, and end-of-season tournament planning.

The Upwards program has soccer, basketball, etc also has cheerleading. This program is Christian based and many local area churches participate. You do not have to be a member of any church to sign your child up for any of the Upwards programs. In my experience of cheerleading on all levels this is the least competitive and least expensive. When my youngest was about 3 and wanted to try cheer this is what we signed her up for at our church. She got to cheer at her sisters basketball games and it was super cute.
